An inventory shall be developed that lists materials currently handled at the facility
that may be exposed to precipitation. The list must include all materials that are
handled, stored, processed, treated, or disposed of in a manner that allows exposure
to precipitation or runoff. Materials stored in drums, barrels, tanks, and similar
containers that are tightly sealed, in good structural condition, and do not have leaking valves are not required to be listed in the inventory. The inventory of
materials shall also include specific pollutants (e.g. oil and grease, copper, wood
shavings, etc.) that can be attributed to those materials.
The inventory must be updated within 30 days following a significant change in the
types of materials that are exposed to precipitation or runoff, or significant changes
in material management practices that may affect the exposure of materials to precipitation
or runoff.
